Happy 4th of July Maria.

You list a great looking bunch of books there.

I have only read 1776 out of those particular books. Interestingly, though I really liked other books that I have read by David McCullough, I found 1776 to be a bit unfocused and thus a little disappointing.

I plan to read Revolutionary Mothers or the similar Founding Mothers by Cokie Roberts fairly soon.

My lack of sufficient planning has prevented from getting up an Independence day blog. Beginning next year I am determined to have one up for the holiday.

I am about to begin The Ideological Origins of the American Revolution by Bernard Bailyn, which I should have read before the holiday.

I hope that you and your family have a great holiday and a great weekend!

Hey, Brian!

You know, I've been wanting to read a book related to or about the American Revolution for the longest time now.....especially since you are so enthusiastic about this period in American history yourself!

I might very well begin with "Revolutionary Mothers", though now I'm also interested in this book you're reading yourself. I must put it on my Goodreads TBR, as I had not heard of it before.

I hope you and your family are had a great holiday, and are enjoying your Sunday!

As always, thanks so much for commenting!! : )
